Google announced its ‘Year in Search 2022’ results for Indian users, which offers an insight into how and what people in the country have searched most during this year. The list, which is released annually, covers topics like trending sports, news, movies, and more.

The most searched Google trending topic in 2022 on Google was the ‘Indian Premier League (IPL)’ in trending search results in India and was also the most searched sport in the country.
The Second most searched Google trending was ‘coWIN’, a government web portal that facilitates registrations and appointments for COVID-19 vaccines and issues digital vaccine certificates.
The 3rd most searched Google trending thing was ‘FIFA World Cup’ in the sports category. The fourth and fifth searches were Asia Cup and ICC T20 World Cup respectively.
Talking about the ‘WHAT IS’ google trending searches Angipath Scheme, NATO, NFT, PFI, and the square root of 4 were searched mostly in.
The ‘HOW TO’ searches on google were vaccination certificate, PTRC challan, drink pornstar martini, e-SHARM card, and motions during pregnancy.
On the other hand, the top ‘NEAR ME’ searches were a covid vaccine, swimming pool, water park, movies and restaurants.
As per Google, the most searched Google trending personalities in the country were suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, followed by President of India Droupadi Murmu, new United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Lalit Modi and Sushmita Sen.
Panir pasanda, Modak and Sex on the beach were most popular.
