WHAT IS SSC CGL

What is SSC CGL?

 

Full form of SSC is staff selection commission and CGL means combined graduate level.  SSC CGL exam only for those who have graduated. undergraduate or 12th pass can not apply for this exam. If someone is a graduate, they can apply for it.

 

When the SSC CGL vacancy comes out, you can apply for the form. SSC CGL is recruited at the graduate level for the recruitment of vacancies in the Central Government and their various departments and this examination is done at the national level. SSC CGL  is graduation level exam.

 

To apply for SSC CGL, you must have a degree. And the degree should be from a recognized university. The age for this examination has been determined as 18 to 27 years, however, according to the reservation category, there is some relaxation in the age which you will find on the website itself.

 

 

 

 

How to apply:

 

Whenever its vacancy comes out, you have to go to the official website of SSC and apply for it. You will have to fill the form and you will get the information related to it on your number or MAIL ID.

 

On the website of SSC CGL, you will have to fill the form in which you will have to give your photograph and sign online and submit the application fees. After a few days, you will get the Admit Card on this website, from which you can give the exam. In this way we can apply in SSC CGL.

Parts of Examination: (TIRE)

 

We divide this exam into four parts.

 

  • Combined Graduate Level (Tier 1)
  • Combined Graduate Level (Tier-2)
  • Descriptive Test (Tier-3)
  • Skills test

 

There is no interview in this exam.

  1. General Intelligence and resoning        25 questions          50 marks
  2. Quantitative Aptitude                              25 Questions         50 Marks
  3. English Comprehension                          25 questions         50 marks
  4. General Awareness                                   25 Questions        50 Marks

100 questions total 200 marks

 

 

 

 

Tire 1: For this part, you get 1 hour of time as well as negative marking for the wrong answer.

 

 

 

 

  • Combined graduate level: tire 2

 

 

 

  1. Quantitative Ability           100 Questions         200 Marks
  2. General English                  100 Questions         200 Marks

Total 200 Questions 400 Marks

 

There is a time of 2 hours for this part and it also has negative marking.

 

 

 

 

Descriptive test: tire 3

 

In this section, you will have a pen & paper and you will have to write an essay or letter. And you will get 1 hour for it and it is 100 marks paper.

 

 

 

 

Skill test: Tire 4

 

The skill test is taken in the recruitment for the post of SSC CGL. You should know about computer typing speed and knowledge of computer. In this session, you get 15 minutes and there is no marks distribution. And this test is only taken for some post.
